Tinystudy: a study plan built from Moodle materials

My own product in progress for adult students whose school or university uses Moodle: course materials become short study topics, and the plan picks what to learn and what to review each day before the next test.

Who it is for

A student's materials are often scattered across many courses, files and deadlines. Tinystudy brings the student's own Moodle materials into one place and helps them prepare for one specific test.

It is made for adult learners (18 and over) whose school or university uses Moodle or a Moodle-based system.

What is built so far

  • Importing materials with the "Tinystudy button", which the student runs in their own signed-in Moodle tab; Tinystudy never sees the Moodle password.
  • Choosing a test and a target grade on the student's own grading scale; every task for that test shown in one place, the most likely first.
  • Reading documents, slides, pictures, scanned pages and formulas right in the browser.
  • Video lectures: captions are used first, and without them the audio is turned into text in short pieces, which is not stored.
  • A study page with short topics for every test, made with the help of AI and labelled as such.
  • Everything works in the website with nothing to install, and a demo mode works without an account.

Tinystudy is still being built and is not publicly available. It helps you plan and revise; grades depend on the student, the teachers and the school. Moodle and Moodle Workplace are trademarks of Moodle Pty Ltd; Totara, IOMAD and Open LMS are trademarks of their respective owners. Tinystudy is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
